Zouyu, Cry The Deer was inspired by the legend of the zouyu, a mythical white tiger-like beast with a gentle, herbivorous nature. The benevolent, vegetarian, and virtuous zouyu only appears when a sagacious ruler reigns and a sighting is an auspicious omen. The design title was inspired by the ancient poem, Yu, Yu, Cry The Deer. Within this design, the protagonist absentmindedly feasts on the rare and precious Peaches of Immortality, while the soft, quiet fawn blends unnoticed into the fallen fruit. The nature of the beast and the fate of the fawn are open to the viewers discretion; herbivorous zouyu, or ferocious white tiger? An empty porcelain vase represents peace, while, like the main subject, a tiny jade tiger ornament faces west. Strategically placed cinnabar seals identify the artist and the provenance of the work while balancing the composition. Knots and bows represent a rebus; tying each symbolism and metaphor together as one. Sabina Savage is noted in a traditional, calligraphy-style brush script

What is your return policy?
IN STORE PURCHASES
- Customer can return non-sale item within 7 days of purchase for exchange or store credit
- Sale merchandise purchased in store is final sale, unless otherwise noted
ONLINE PURCHASES
- Customer can return both full price and sale items within 10 days of receiving them
- Customer will be refunded for goods if 10 day requirement is met and items are in original condition and in original box or new, protective packaging
- Any sale item purchased online that is 40% off or more is eligible for exchange or store credit only
- For customers who select the “Local Delivery” or “Curbside Pickup” option, there will be a 48 hour grace period during which customer can return said items for a full refund

When will my order be shipped?
- Free ground shipping on all merchandise within the US
- Flat rate of $75 for all international shipments
- Tax only applies to in state orders (tax does not apply to shipments outside of North Carolina)
- Multiple shipping options available upon checkout (including expedited and overnight delivery for an additional charge)
- Shipments will be sent out on the day of purchase unless ordered on a Sunday or holiday (in this case, the order will be shipped on the next business day)
